Mission:
The Institute of Acupuncture Research was redesignated as a WHO Collaborating Center for Traditional Medicine.

Terms of References：

TOR1   To work with WHO in the dissemination of information on acupuncture and efficacy.

TOR2   On request of WHO, to provide training opportunities for foreign scientists, medical doctors and acupuncturists on both scientific research and clinical practice of TM.

TOR3   To explore the approaches of developing traditional medicine/integrative medicine (TM/IM) in the modern medical colleges in China.

TOR4   To provide support to WHO in the process of formulating WHO TM policies, strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
